This is the official background information for Goshi Hosono. There is nothing to indicate this person has the understanding to manage the Fukushima nuclear disaster. In fact, this may be the very reason that the whole Fukushima nuclear accident has become even worse with the spreading radiation. Maybe if Goshi Hosono had looked at this as something that would be affecting the lives of people in Japan rather than a photo-op and a chance for him to portray himself as a “hero”, he would have not accepted the position, instead he would have pushed for someone who had the knowledge of nuclear issues to take the position, even if it meant that the Government of Japan had to get someone who was not a politician. His selfishness is apparent.
