Minister of Agriculture announced a grant to conduct research on livestock in the exclusion zone on Nov and on Dec 19th they announced who will conduct research. Among that they posted two items
Research objectives 2: Develop techniques to clean cecium from hay and wastes of cows. (It is not clear they use livestock themselves)
Objective 3: Cecium in muscle tissue of cows and develop measurement of them
(1) By blood sampling they will develop method to analyze cecium amount of muscle tissue of cows.
(2) These methods will be used for a case when livestock is exposed to radiation.
In the experiments details are not explained clearly so they are worried about that these livestock will be destroyed eventually.
