The Japanese Animal Welfare Law and Japan’s Feral Animals, aka “pest animals”

feraljapan

In Japan, any animal that is “deemed” to be feral is NOT PROTECTED by any law. That Japanese feral animal is considered to be a “pest” animal. The animal that is Feral can be hunted and killed or it can be trapped and used for “research”. If you remember the article that was posted about the Japanese boar being hunted, the boar are considered to be feral. Not protected. Whale are considered to be feral. …. It is another reason that so many Japanese Animal rescuers were trying to get as many Fukushima left behind puppies and kittens that were born after the evacuation of the Fukushima residents.
