Reposting: Now that Ruriko from Hachiko Animal Federation is helping Farm Arcadia with translations, do they need to worry about being sold out like Kachiku-Otasuke Tai. was?

March 28, 2013

Update : Farm Arcadia actually shut down.  That makes 2 for 2 cattle farms that were being assisted by Ruriko.  I am not sure how the Hoshi Family “farm” with their cattle and the subsequent arrest of the 2 Hoshi family members will impact the farm, but I am betting that this farm will also be shutting down.  That makes 3 for 3.   Imagine that.  (Not sure if it has to do with the “study” that she and Dr. Imamoto had collaborated to do with cattle and their offspring.   Time will tell.  All animal researchers don’t do a study and THEN NOT PUBLISH IT.  Time is on my side.

Ruriko , an administrator for the Hachiko Coalition is very helpful with translating.  She does so for a few sites.  The funny thing about all of this is, that even though she states that she was a member of Kachiku-Otasuke-Tai. org, she didn’t really do much translating for them.  A quick check of their facebook site shows this. Not much promoting their cause.  Was she just a member to check and see how this organization may affect plans to do Animal Studies using the cattle that she had in place?  Is she doing the same with Farm Arcadia? Only time will tell.

Another Study using “breeding” cattle, aka pregnant cows: what happens when pregnant cattle eat from low level radioactive pasture.

September 6, 2012

The study that was done used pregnant cattle to see the effects on both the mother and developing baby while the mother grazed in low level radioactive pastures.  The study recorded the cesium accumulation in the mother and in the developing baby, miscarriages, and after being born.  * I bet that the researchers are just waiting for the babies to be of age to be bred so that they can do more “breeding” studies on them.

The photo is an example of cattle grazing in a contaminated pasture.

Naoto Matsumura and SoseiWater : Another Coincidence?

September 6, 2012

SoseiWater’s blog has an article where they are asking for help with feeding the animals.  And, it should be of no surprise to some that the animals that are featured are an ostrich and a cow.  Hmmm.  Who else do we know that has both ostriches and cattle in Tomioka?
