The Headquarters for the Relief of Animals in Emergencies charitable fund distributions were CONTROLLED by the Japan Veterinary Medical Association, according tohttps://seo.lin.gr.jp/nichiju/suf/topics/2011/20110621_03.pdf****. This means that if there were no traps available, that would be the fault of the Japan Veterinary Medical Association since they were in charge of “Notification, coordination, and liaison” with all members and issues involved with rescuing the disaster animals.

Mentioned in the other Prometheus Trap article, Jun Kawamata, Head of the Great East Japan Earthquake Disaster Animal Rescue Task Force of Fukushima Veterinary Medical, also should have been addressing any issues involving the Fukushima Left Behind Animals. The Fukushima Veterinary Medical Association received 17,000,000 yen or ($171,600) from the Headquarters for the Relief of Animals in Emergencies donated money fund. Surely, they could have purchased a few traps with the money or maybe borrow a few traps if they didn’t want to spend the money.

Although they would like to point out that this was the fault of the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Environment’s page refers people to the Headquarters for the Relief of Animals in Emergencies. As mentioned earlier, the Japan Veterinary Medical Association had the “Schematic of the stricken animal rescue activities pertaining to East Japan earthquake” showing that they were responsible for Notification, Coordination, and Liaison.

They mention “local government employees”, they are referring to the local government employees like Takeshi Ono, chief veterinary technician at the Fukushima prefectural government. And, it can be assumed that where there is a veterinary technician, there are veterinarians. (A try at absolving veterinarians from GUILT.)

And,

“The Environment Ministry recruited vets willing to take part in the rescue mission and compiled a list of more than 150 potential participants.

But the number of vets who actually took part in the operation was less than 20, including Watanabe. A majority of the vets on the list were never contacted.

Watanabe now wonders if the ministry was really serious about seeking the assistance of these vets.”

Watanabe should have asked the President of the Japan Veterinary Medical Association not the ministry about why only 20 vets were contacted. Again, the Japan Veterinary Medical Association, according to the diagram, were the Notification, Coordination, and Liaison people.

So, the real question is why the Japan Veterinary Medical Association did not buy traps to help catch and protect pets and why they did not seek the assistance of MORE vets. Many of the “veterinary Associations received enough money from the Headquarters for the Relief of Animals in Emergencies donation fund to have participated, although, there may have been a few that were busy rebuilding their clinics/hospitals with donated funds that were collected via the Japan Veterinary Medical Association separtely collected donation fund for the relief of disaster animals. The answer to WHO was making the decisions about Who would get money from the Headquarters for the Relief of Animals in Emergencies was none other than the Japan Veterinary Medical Association. There was a schematic diagram on the JVMA website that shows they are the organization that is in CONTROL of everything that has to do with major decisions concerning the disaster animals. Everybody else was there to support them.

But, according to their “Schematic of the stricken animal rescue activities pertaining to East Japan earthquake”, they were ABSOLUTELY the right people to contact to answer our questions.  The Japan Veterinary Medical Association.

It would seem that the Japan Veterinary Medical Association is disingenuous when it comes to EVERYTHING concerning the Fukushima Left Behind Animals. The Japan Veterinary Medical Association controls the funds, controls the veterinarians, controls all the Provincial Headquarters via their Provincial Veterinary Associations, and the shelters that hold the protected animals. And, they are probably only holding the animals for some sort of “research” that they will reveal at a later date. Most likely the “blood” samples the same as is done with the cattle. And, if an animal becomes “sick” and dies, they get to necropsy that dog or cat for their tissue bank that they are assembling.

This WHOLE incident REEKS of deception and collusion at the cost of disaster animals’ lives. There is no doubt that this was being sanctioned by the Government of Japan, since they are “working” partners in all other Biological Radiation Research Testing being done, both on humans and on animals. It is to release them from any “legal” issues concerning research done on animals that might have owners; the same that was discussed in the article about human subjects that were not told that they were becoming part of a study.

The Form that was filled out when Fukushima Dogs were “rescued” by Japanese Veterinarians

Document from Japan Veterinary Medical Association : It discusses how radioactive isotopes, their effects, and how to decontaminate dogs and cats.  However, it is interesting to note the diagram of the dog with the information that needed to be filled out. This would make some people think about “research study” data.   Also, there is reference that if an animal is measured and exceeds a “certain level”, the animal should be taken to an animal hospital and other facilities for management.   It would be interesting to find out just how many animals were taken off to these facilities, how they were treated/decontaminated AND if they were ever released back.  No information as to whether any attempt was made to find an “owner”.   It is another cluster of Fukushima Left Behind Animals that may have just “disappeared” since for the most part, there were ONLY veterinarians doing the “government sanctioned rescues”.  Could be another reason that the number of protected dogs kept dropping.   Who knows what really was going on when the veterinarians were supposed to be “rescuing” Fukushima left behind dogs and cats.  No one else was there to see if what they captured was what was actually turned over to the shelter for care.  More importantly, this document is an OPEN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of the damage that radioactive isotopes does to both humans and animals.   Thus, the question remains: Why haven’t all the Fukushima Left Behind Animals been removed since they should be protected under Japan’s Animal Welfare Act.
