This from PETA UK. From May. Just what does PETA represent? And, why no follow up?

November 23, 2011

This is an article that I found from PETA.ORG. UK.  It is from Matt, the voice of PETA UK’s Website.  They have done 1 article about the Fukushima Animals.  The posting below is from Matt.  He speaks of how the Fukushima Farmed Animals get help.  I won’t spoil it for you and it is a short comment.  This just confirms what I now suspect of PETA.   They really just don’t care unless there is a ” photo-op” for them.   This is just unbelievable.  I will never support PETA again.

Fukushima Farmed Animals Get Help

The Japanese Cabinet officially announced that the Prime Minister has ordered the Fukushima governor to euthanise all the farmed animals in the 20 km “no-go” zone. As sad as it is, the animals – many who have been without adequate food since the earthquake and tsunami in March – will finally be granted a peaceful end to their suffering.

Shocking images from the affected areas show dead farmed animals and some who have been cannibalised by others.

Thank you to all who wrote to Japanese officials urging them to take action.

It’s just not the Japanese Government and TEPCO, some of the blame should go to the largest Animal organizations. Why? Barely a peep about the animals left in the Fukushima Exclusion Zone.

August 15, 2011

To date, my focus about the animals that are dying in the Fukushima Exclusion Zone has been directed at the TEPCO and the Japanese Government.  TEPCO for creating the hell on earth for the animals in Fukushima.  The Japanese Government for making their owners leave their pets and livestock and then having complete disregard for the situation that they left them in.  Of course, and I truly believe that the Japanese Government did this on purpose, since they can use the animals to monitor the radiation.  They showed this again when they culled, which means killed, the pigs and the owner said that they took some of the dead pigs with them.  I think that we all know that they didn’t take the pigs for any other reason than to analyze them for radiation effects.

Who else should take some of the responsibility for the plight of the animals in the Fukushima Exclusion Zone?  Some of the largest animal organizations that supposedly represent themselves as “caring”.  Where is the voice of the Humane Society?  Where is the voice of PETA?  Other than that little jaunt which looked more like a publicity stunt and not really to raise awareness of the plight of the abandoned animals in the Fukushima zone.  Where is the voice of our ASPCA?  Not a peep.  It’s business as usual for them.  Or is it that they believe that it doesn’t concern them if it happens outside of the United States?

The lack of any concern or any protest and continued protest on their part leads me to wonder.  I guess they just don’t care since the animals are not within the United States.  For my part, the lack of anything coming out of any of the supposedly great institutions that are supposed to represent animal welfare shows to me that my faith in them was misplaced.

I see nothing that amounts to anything from them.  Not a peep.  No outrage.  No protests lodged.  Nothing.  The Japanese Government and TEPCO never disappointed me, I expected them to do what they have done.  The lack of any protest on the part of some of this country’s largest animal welfare groups, the Humane Society, PETA, and the ASPCA, well, that disappoints me and saddens me as well.  I guess they don’t mind that the animals in the Fukushima Exclusion Zone are dying and that the Japanese Government with TEPCO’s help have created a KILL zone.  And, the type of death for the animals?  slow and agonizing.  Still, not a peep from any of them.
